Providing a Collaborative Approach to Mental Health Care in Maryland

We believe every client we work with has extraordinary strengths and wisdom within them. But we understand the complexities of life can create mental health challenges — making it hard to see your inherent gifts.

Our Philosophy

We meet you exactly where you are. We develop an understanding of the challenges you’re facing and how they’re manifesting in your life. Helping you gain awareness is a critical first step. Working quickly and collaboratively, we help you witness your thoughts so you don’t get swept away in them.

We help you cultivate self-compassion as you do the work of honest, self-inquiry to see where your decisions — and your life — are impacted by those thoughts.

As you begin to change your relationship with adversity, you find yourself able to move through difficult experiences with courage. When you become willing to face adversity rather than avoid it, your full potential begins to emerge.

when you work with us...

Our primary goal is to empower you to master your inner environment and build the extraordinary life you deserve.

I'm a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Maryland with a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work. I have spent the last 20 years working with adults and adolescents through my private practice.

I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges and provide individual, couples, and family therapy.

Myself and my in-house team of talented clinicians work with a network of prescribers and other treatment professionals to address the unmet needs of our clients while maintaining a continuum of care in each individual's treatment plan.

Janet Williams, LCSW-C

To better serve that mission I have expanded my practice around the core values of collaboration and continuity.

And if you need additional support in between therapy appointments, we have built our practice as a concierge service to meet these needs. We make ourselves available to you for brief contact in between appointments. It’s important to us that you feel supported every step of the way.

Our office is located in Bel Air, Maryland, a short distance from Baltimore. I am accepting new clients and am offering both in-person and virtual appointments. While I don’t take insurance, I provide everything you need for out-of-network reimbursement and am happy to help you with the process.

My goal is to empower you to address the challenges that are holding you back and make decisions that positively shape your life.

Amy works with adults, adolescents, couples, and families. She understands that the difficult feelings you are experiencing can make it challenging to move forward. When you become anxious or depressed and lack the skills necessary to confront your challenges, stress and overwhelm continue to build.

Finding direction and taking action from that space is sometimes challenging. Amy can help you take the first step toward the happier, healthier version of yourself that you envision.

Amy Hull

She believes that self-love helps you navigate obstacles and life in general. She also offers couples therapy to help you work through relationship issues, build connection, and foster a healthier relationship.

Parent coaching is an additional specialization of Amy’s. She helps parents improve communication skills and establish healthy boundaries. Incorporating family therapy into the treatment plan is an available option should you benefit from working through issues as a family with Amy’s expertise.

Amy is accepting new clients in-person and virtually. She accepts HSA cards, offers a fee-for-service rate, and can help you with out-of-network insurance reimbursement.

Cultivating self-compassion and curiosity to replace shame and self-doubt is a cornerstone of Amy’s therapeutic approach.

Sherri has over 20 years of experience teaching writing and working with creatives. Her research interests, which have developed from her PhD research, include narrative medicine, therapeutic writing, and medical humanities.

As a supplement to your regular treatment program or as a standalone experience, your writing work with Sherri can help you overcome challenges; transform your mindset; navigate transitions due to loss, illness, and trauma; and manifest your personal and professional or academic goals.

Sherri Foster

Therapeutic writing is for those dealing with specific anxieties surrounding loss, trauma, illness, and grief. This work can be a standalone experience, or it can be used in combination with your regular therapy. This type of intensive writing leans into the premise that exposing yourself gradually to a negative experience within the controlled space of a story will help you recognize, explore, and diminish your negative response. Storytelling is an empowering act that can encourage you to better understand and process your own experience by sitting within the experience as an active observer. It is a powerful act of confrontation that can provide significant and meaningful relief. This type of writing is done through staged writing and careful progression. The client works at their own speed and comfort level.

Sherri will meet you where you are and show you how to see and use writing as a tool you can use to turn insight into empowered action. She can also provide project-specific writing coaching for students (general and college admissions essays, etc.) and professionals (cover letters, resumes, proposals, etc.) who thrive with professional guidance, process coaching, and descriptive and evaluative feedback.

Creative people need customized coaching and support. As a creative herself, Sherri understands challenges like self-doubt and anxiety, as well as time management issues, lack of inspiration or motivation, and breaks in the creative process. Guided visualization, breathing exercises, practice or process coaching, vision boards, and more can be used to help you become “unstuck” and realize your full creative potential. The goal of this type of coaching is to help you develop strategies to harness your joy and nourish your innate creative energy.

Sherri sees clients in-person and virtually and offers individual as well as group meetings.
